Our cold and red light lasers are designed to bring this promising technology into your hands, providing an accessible way to explore its effects. Through our new rental program, you can experience firsthand the possibilities of this cutting-edge approach. Let us guide you through the ideas and research that inspired this innovation.

Our Story

Our journey with red light therapy began with a personal quest for solutions. Alex first encountered this technology when he took his son to a chiropractor for red laser therapy sessions. Visiting twice a week, Alex quickly noticed incredible changes—his son became more aware, started engaging with his sister, and even began to play interactively. Inspired by these results, Alex rented a laser device from the chiropractor to use daily at home. The progress continued—his son played Mario Kart appropriately, shared moments of joy driving a small battery-operated car with his sister, and overall seemed more connected.

Christian, intrigued by Alex’s experience, decided to try the therapy for his own son. Similar results followed: his son became calmer, made better eye contact, and displayed a greater sense of awareness. These shared successes led to a burning question: why are these devices so expensive?

With a background in math and physics, Alex couldn’t ignore the challenge. Driven by curiosity and determination, he set out to create his own laser device. From soldering wires to programming Arduino boards, and ingeniously installing laser diodes and rechargeable batteries into an empty vitamin bottle, Alex brought his vision to life. And it worked.

What is Low-Level-Laser-Therapy (LLLT) or Photobiomodulation?

Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT), also known as photobiomodulation (PBM), is a treatment that uses low-powered light, typically in the red or near-infrared spectrum, to stimulate healing and reduce pain. This therapy works by applying light energy to tissues, where it penetrates and is absorbed by the cells, specifically the mitochondria, which are the cell’s energy producers. When these mitochondria absorb the light, they become more efficient at producing energy (ATP), which promotes healing and reduces inflammation. The key difference between LED red light and laser red light is that lasers produce a focused, coherent beam of light that can penetrate deeper into the tissues, while LEDs emit diffused light that is less focused and typically penetrates less deeply.

Research has shown that photobiomodulation can help with a variety of conditions, including chronic pain, arthritis, tendon injuries, and wound healing. It has also shown promise in treating neurological conditions, with emerging evidence suggesting that LLLT can support improvements in autism, by potentially stimulating brain activity and reducing symptoms such as anxiety and communication difficulties. The frequency of the light used in LLLT is critical, with different frequencies impacting different biological processes, such as enhancing circulation, reducing inflammation, and stimulating cellular repair.

Frequency refers to the rate at which the light pulses are emitted (in Hz), and adjusting it can influence how the light interacts with tissues. Our laser lets you switch between continuous or pulsed modes.

Treatment Protocols: The Fibonacci laser provides preset treatment protocols that are optimized for specific conditions.

What is Frequency in Red Laser Therapy?

In red laser therapy, frequency refers to how fast the laser light pulses or cycles on and off. Think of it like the "speed" at which the light is delivered to the tissues.

  • Low frequencies mean the light pulses more slowly.

  • High frequencies mean the light pulses more quickly.

Different frequencies can have different effects on your body:

  • Lower frequencies (slower pulses) are typically better for deeper tissues and can help with reducing pain and inflammation.

  • Higher frequencies (faster pulses) are often used for surface-level healing, like improving skin conditions or promoting collagen production for wound healing.

Changing the frequency of the red laser during Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) can have a variety of therapeutic benefits, as the frequency of the light influences how it interacts with tissues at a cellular level. The primary mechanism behind LLLT is photobiomodulation (PBM), where light energy is absorbed by cells, particularly by the mitochondria, to stimulate healing processes. Here’s how adjusting the frequency can be beneficial:

1. Cellular Stimulation:

  • Red light (typically around 635 nm) is effective in penetrating the skin and tissues, where it is absorbed by mitochondria. The mitochondria use this light energy to increase the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), the cell’s energy source. By changing the frequency (or modulating the wavelength within the red spectrum), it may optimize the mitochondrial response, enhancing cellular energy production, and accelerating tissue repair, especially in wound healing, inflammation, and muscle recovery.

2. Tissue Penetration and Targeting:

  • The frequency can affect the depth of penetration and the specific tissues targeted. For example, lower frequencies might have a deeper penetration, making them effective for conditions involving deeper tissues, while higher frequencies might be more effective for surface-level treatments, such as skin or superficial inflammation.

3. Increased Blood Circulation:

  • Different frequencies of red light can also improve circulation by stimulating the vascular system. Changes in frequency can help modulate the dilation and constriction of blood vessels, which increases blood flow to the treated area. This enhanced circulation ensures better oxygen and nutrient delivery to tissues, accelerating recovery from injury or inflammation.

4. Pain Relief and Inflammation Reduction:

  • Certain frequencies of red light have been shown to be particularly effective at reducing inflammation and pain by modulating the activity of pro-inflammatory mediators. Lower frequencies, for example, may help to decrease inflammation by increasing cellular activity in the immune system, while higher frequencies may activate different cellular pathways that provide pain relief.

5. Improved Collagen Synthesis:

  • Collagen production is vital for tissue repair, especially in the case of skin injuries, tendons, and ligaments. Adjusting the frequency of red light can stimulate fibroblasts, the cells responsible for collagen production, promoting the formation of healthy connective tissue and aiding in the healing of damaged tissues.

6. Neurological Benefits:

  • Certain frequencies of red light are also thought to support brain function by stimulating neuronal activity. For example, low-frequency red light might help in conditions like traumatic brain injury (TBI) or neurodegenerative disorders, where it supports cellular regeneration and reduces oxidative stress in the brain.

7. Customizable Treatment:

  • By changing the frequency of the red laser, we tailored treatments since there are no agreed upon frequencies to be standard.

In summary, adjusting the frequency of the red laser allows for targeted treatment that can enhance tissue repair, reduce pain and inflammation, improve blood flow, and support various therapeutic goals in musculoskeletal, neurological, and skin health. The right frequency selection helps maximize the effectiveness of the therapy, addressing the unique needs of each patient and condition.

How Often Should I use it, for how long, and is it safe?

When using our cold laser for brain wellness, we recommend the following guidelines based on current research and best practices:

  • Frequency: Use the laser up to twice a day. Studies suggest that twice-daily sessions are more effective than once-daily use, while three times daily shows no additional benefit.

  • Duration: Each session should last approximately 20 minutes.

  • Application: Hold the laser several inches away from the skull. There’s no need for the individual to remain perfectly still—you can move the laser back and forth during the session.

  • Target Areas: Focus the laser on key areas of the head:

    • Forehead (frontal lobes)

    • Sides of the head (parietal lobes, speech center, etc.)

    • Back of the head (cerebellum)
Treat these areas in any order, ensuring a total application time of 20 minutes.

Safety

Cold laser therapy is exceptionally safe when used correctly. However, never shine the laser directly into the eyes. Always use care and follow these guidelines to ensure a safe and effective session.

This easy-to-use therapy can be seamlessly incorporated into your routine, providing a safe and innovative approach to support brain wellness.
